Ellen’s career spans from the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer to JP Morgan where she focused on exploring and facilitating investing in start-ups.  She later founded her own start-up in the aviation industry where the team focused on building a B2B aviation part sourcing and brokerage focused on business jets.  During her 12 years at Northrop Grumman, she held positions as a systems engineer and program manager, working in design and development of autonomous systems ranging from the Global Hawk to the Unmanned Carrier based unmanned aerial system. More recently she has taken on the role of VP Operations at Cognitive Medical Systems, a clinical informatics company serving the government and private sectors.

Ellen holds a bachelors degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in systems engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School. Ellen loves to run, taste wine, and travel.  She is the chair of the Wharton Alumni Angel Network Southern California.  She is also co-founder of Wharton Aerospace and its annual conference, and runs the innovation-ventures focused Wharton Aerospace Ventures conference at Wharton San Francisco.
