As a Commercial Innovation Program Manager at CASIS, Miki combines her multi-disciplinary background and passion for space to promote utilization of space environment to advance science, technology and R&D to higher potentials. Prior to joining CASIS, Miki spent several years as a scientist at a clinical research organization helping pharmaceutical companies to run clinical trials for FDA approval, mainly for therapeutics for musculoskeletal systems. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Miki calls San Francisco Bay Area her home. Miki has a B.A. in Physics from UC Berkeley, a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from UC San Francisco & Berkeley joint program.
