Katherine is an aerospace executive focused on strategic partnerships in the New Space industry. As an early member of Spire Global, Katherine led the Ground Station team, building out a global network of infrastructure to download data from the constellation of spacecraft. Now the Director of Business Development for KSAT, Katherine works with the majority of New Space companies to design and implement Ground Station architecture.
KSAT is the world-leading satellite ground station provider. KSAT connects owners and operators with their satellites and rockets, enabling the data to be brought back down to earth. With over 50 years of experience, KSAT’s network today spans over 120 antennas at 20 ground station locations across the globe (including Pole to Pole coverage from Antarctica to the Arctic), and is constantly expanding. We are proud to be the behind-the-scenes bridge back to earth, supporting the vast majority of space companies, agencies, and start-ups. Among our customers are: SpaceX, NASA, OneWeb, Google’s TerraBella (now Planet), Planet, ESA, Spire, and Virgin Orbit.
Prior to her work in aerospace, Katherine was a consultant for C-suite executives at Fortune 500 companies, specializing in high-stakes negotiations and high-impact strategic partnerships. Her recent clients include The Coca-Cola Company, Deloitte, Thomson Reuters, and GlobalFoundries. Katherine began her career as a Fellow at the U.S. Department of Defense, where she supported International Negotiations around joint research and development efforts. Katherine is an avid hiker and enjoys travel and exploring new places. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
